A Pastors Testimony of how God Used RU in his Life and his Ministry’s

In 1996, Steve Curington began as a small Bible study in the basement of North Love Baptist Church. Steve had a burden to help those held in bondage to sin and addiction – a place he himself had once been held by Satan’s snares.

Today, RU has started over 900 chapters across America and in several foreign countries. The RU ministry is doing exactly what it set out to do…. reach the addicted. However, it has done MORE than that. RU is also a GREAT discipleship program for anyone desiring to begin or broaden their relationship with Christ.

As a result, RU has helped thousands of people develop of personal, intimate walk with the Lord. The testimony below is a tremendous example how that RU is beneficial in every person’s life. When a church starts a RU chapter in their community, everyone who works in the program also participates in the program.

This testimony is from a PASTOR of one of those churches:

Two and a half years ago, we started our RU chapter in our church. One of the most rewarding results of that decision came through requiring everyone (including leaders) to do the work of the program. I have found RU to be the best discipleship programs I have ever seen.
This ministry has helped me to deal with my practice in the word of God, especially through meditating on the Word. It gave me definitions of the fruit of the Spirit that held up to my life. It revealed areas of weakness that I had not considered.

Also, it helped me become accountable to God for these areas, so I could overcome them. I can honestly say, RU has been the most rewarding experience I have had personally in growing in the Word.

As a result, I have learned to love in a more sacrificial way and to grow in faith and humility in ways that have blessed me beyond measure. It has helped me to walk closer to the Lord and be more faithful to Him and His ministry. I praise the Lord for this ministry!

As a pastor, it has helped me to help people with needs I couldn’t have helped with before. To guide them into becoming truly passionate about the Lord. I love RU for how GOD has used it in my life, and how He uses it in the lives of others.
