We recommend that all of our local RU Recovery Chapters follow their local health guidelines. Safety and health are very important. We also recognize the terrible toll that COVID-19 and all that comes with it has had on the addiction recovery community. Overdose deaths have increased exponentially. And the Opioid Epidemic rages on alongside the pandemic.

Our local chapters have done an amazing job adapting to their circumstances and we praise God for how he continues to work through this crisis.

We absolutely recommend that are students beware of isolating from their support systems. Family, friends, the church, the local RU chapter, and most importantly of all your daily walk with God. We know with health concerns this can be difficult, but there are ways to stay connected.

Follow your church, and local chapter on social media and keep up with the latest developments. Call your group leader at least once a week to update them on your situation and your walk with God. Tune into the live-stream if you are staying home. Several RU chapter live-stream their first and third talks and some of our chapters hold zoom second talks.

We can’t say it enough. Stay in your daily journal and in God’s Word. This is the secret sauce to victory over your addiction. These trying times can be difficult and confusing.
