Biblical Voting: Remember the Name of the Lord our God

Biblical Voting

“To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. 1The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; 2Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; 3Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. 4Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. 5We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. 6Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. 7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. 8They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. 9Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.”

— Psalm 20:1-9

America Was Founded On Biblical Principles

Another election year is right around the corner. As we all know, we have enjoyed freedoms in our country which are a direct result of the Christian influence from those who founded this great nation. America was founded on biblical principles. Our forefathers knew the importance of prayer, they gave priority to worship. When choosing a candidate and political party you need to remember the name of the Lord and practice biblical voting.

Here Are A Few Pointers That I Have For Biblical Voting That I Wanted To Share With You Today:

1. Pledge your allegiance to Jesus

Christ is to be a Christian’s life. We are not placing trust in horses or chariots but in the name of our God. We are not voting for a candidate to be a pastor of a church; but rather, we are voting for an American to lead our country.

2. Trust God’s ultimate authority

We can be set free from the fear and worry because we trust God as the sovereign and good Ruler of all things. The Lord sets up “rulers” in 2016 just as He did in Daniel’s day. However, I believe He expects God’s people to be salt and light and help lead the choice for the right person to keep our goodly heritage.

3. Be aware

Do not stick your head in the sand and act like you are not American or your vote will not matter. Get informed! Pray and ask the Lord to lead you towards the right candidates in November when you vote.

4. You should get involved

As the salt and light of the world, we ought to properly use the liberties we’ve been given for the glory of God and the good of all people. Let’s be good stewards! What if this was your last chance to vote?

5. Point people to the hope of the gospel

Then we will see lasting change as God’s people get actively involved in the best political plan laid out by the world’s greatest leader – JESUS! Mathew 28:19-20 reminds us to – go, win, baptize and teach. King Jesus is still King! he is the only Savior that can make people free indeed.

Be contagious, but still be Christian!

Encourage others to vote! Do not argue, but act. Also use your influence to keep people positive during these days, as we have read the last chapter of the book and we all know who wins!

Sharing is Caring

God led Ben and his family (wife, Wendy; and three children, Josh, Caleb, and Hannah) to Rockford, Illinois in 2003 to become the International Director of the fastest growing addiction ministry in the United States. Bro. Burks is now privileged to travel and train others how to help the addicted within their communities.

  1. The idea is vote for who you believe you will have the most christian influence on. Hillary Clinton supports the genocide against the innocents. That ought to be enough to have you vote against her.

  2. Don’t ask if you are a Christian? Ask are you a sinner? Donald said he is not a sinner and doesnt need forgiveness. We are all sinners and are only saved by the grace of God, Jesus Christ! Pray for Donald, he needs salvation. PTL <

  3. Those of us who name the name of Christ already know who we must vote for. As sure as Jesus is the Christ we know that words cannot change the fact that we cannot allow innocent babies to be killed legally funded by us. How can we be made to pay for these procedures. If you want to have your pleasure and kill your child, you should pay to destroy that child.
Our families in These United States cannot afford to just allow Our boarder to lay open. Some of our people pay thousands of dollars to adopt children and families. Why are we forced to take whoever floods our boarders. We cant feed, clothe, educate our own families. Yet we are made to feel ashamed and bullied to take on more water. We need strong leadership and not another puppet. God can take the Man and make him rise above embarrassment he caused himself. God give us the courage to do what we need to do, then pray for recovery. Christians are not confused, just lazy and have allow evil to pull down our walls. Shame on us! Lets Vote him in and let God clean him up.
