Cocaine Addiction – Victorious Life Story

Below is a testimony from a lady who attended one of the 850 chapters from across the globe. Reformers Unanimous is God’s ministry and it is exciting to be a part of it! It is wonderful to see God’s hand at work in so many peoples’ lives!

Many are the days I reflect back on a cocaine addiction that nearly ended my life. It had spiraled out of control, and no matter how I tried in my own way to stop it, things seemed only to get worse. My family and friends ran out of ideas to help me and I myself saw all things through a gray fog that I saw no end to.

My husband and I started to attend Bible Baptist Church, then on to RU on Friday nights. For at least a year of going to RU, I was barely allowing any of it to affect my life in a good way. I thought of many reasons why God should not love me. Why would He want to help a sinner like me anyway?

After falling face first into my addiction, I looked up and told God how I could not do this anymore to the ones I loved. I had tried everything, or so I thought.

All this time, God was patiently waiting for me to ask Him for help and for forgiveness. With the help of one of God’s helpers, and some encouragement from my husband, we prayed and I finally asked God for His help.

God is so good. He has truly turned my life and my family’s lives around. He has opened my eyes to a whole new world, one that took my thoughts and way of life as I was trying to punish myself over a past life of abuse and heartache, to one of hope and love for the One who has a purpose for me.

I may not be good at the memorization of Scripture, but the meanings of them have been taken into my heart. Only God could have done this for me. My wish is that one day I will be able to help others through their trials and struggles as the RU program has done for me.

If not for RU Recovery Program, I doubt my life would be this good. God’s grace is truly at work in my life, and though I have a long way to go before this is over, like the Bible says, it is sufficient for me!

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

Thank you,
Lord, for your wonderful gift!
